Aluminum Chlorohydrate (ACH) is an inorganic polymer coagulant composed primarily of polynuclear aluminum complexes. It is a highly concentrated and pre-hydrolyzed form of aluminum-based coagulant, making it more effective and faster-acting than traditional coagulants like alum or standard PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride). ACH works by neutralizing negatively charged particles in water, causing them to coagulate and form larger flocs that can be easily removed through sedimentation or filtration. Because of its high basicity (typically 70–83%), ACH offers superior performance in drinking water and wastewater treatment applications.
